Acting Pieces and Monologues for Performers

Acting Pieces and Monologues for Performers

Finding the right acting piece or monologue can make all the difference when auditioning or showcasing your talent. A great monologue not only shows your range but also reveals truth, vulnerability, and emotional connection — the essence of great acting.

Over the years, I’ve written a range of original monologues designed for both stage and screen — each created to challenge and inspire actors at every level. Recent pieces include:

  • “The Waiting Room” – a tense, emotional monologue exploring guilt and regret.

  • “Risk Takers” – based on my recent film, capturing the courage it takes to stand up for what’s right.

  • “Betrayal and Deception” – a powerful character-driven piece about love, trust, and consequence.

  • “Letters to Rose” – an intimate and poetic reflection on lost love and second chances.

These monologues are ideal for auditions, drama school applications, or acting showcases, offering authentic, grounded material with real emotional depth.

If you’re looking for a fresh, original acting piece — or need help selecting or performing the right monologue — get in touch. I also offer one-to-one coaching to help bring your chosen piece to life with confidence and truth. Please email aconnew@gmail.com

🎬 Explore, connect, and perform — because every great story begins with a moment of truth.

Mary the Pea green Fairy The Pea-Green Fairy is a gentle rhyming story about Mary, a fairy who feels different because she is green. Teased and unsure of herself, she looks for a sign that it’s okay to be who she is. A quiet, magical tale about self-acceptance, confidence, and learning that being different can be something to celebrate. 💚 Ages 4yrs to 9yrs To Buy on Amazon
